Macs sure are getting popular these days. I’ve found myself giving advice to people lately who’ve been asking which computer they should buy, and whether they should try out a Mac. A lot of people are hesitant about making the ‘Switch’, and rightly so. A Mac is different to a PC. It’s a completely different experience. It does the same things but in a different way. So, for those wondering about whether they should make the Switch, here’s a list of questions to ask yourself to help you decide. continue »

Blog-neglect  ( 0 )

This is just a short update to say I’m still alive and haven’t been abducted by aliens, eaten by zombies, or kidnapped by pirates. Just been extremely busy, and although that sounds like a lame excuse, it’s actually true. continue »

The general consensus is that Mac users are extremely proud of their nice clean Mac setups, with all of their hardware and peripherals laid out nice and neat and organised at their workstations….. Just a quick note to say that I apologise for the lack of posts in the last few days. I’ve just been super-busy with TAFE since it started back up again this week. Things are going to get pretty hectic, but I’ll do my best to post at least a few times a week in the future. continue »

All this freakin’ iPhone hype  ( 0 )

Every little detail about the iPhone is littering the headlines in news sites all over the web. My feed reader is probably sick of the word ‘iPhone’. I know a lot of people are, too. continue »

Team-Up Apps #2 - A different way to launch apps  ( 0 )

Lately, whilst prowling the forums I regularly visit and getting into a few heated discussions about Macs vs PCs, I’ve come to realise that a lot of Mac OSX users (especially switchers) aren’t happy with the way the dock functions continue »

Team-Up Apps #1 - Going to sleep and waking up  ( 0 )

‘Team-Up Apps!’ is a section I’ll be running every once in a while. In it I’ll briefly discuss two pieces of software that I think work really well together. Generally, it will be for OSX, but I may do a few for Windows apps every now and then (for all your Windows lovers out there!) continue »
